The Natural Solutions Foundation, founded in 2004, is an international NGO (Non Governmental Organization) active and registered in several countries and is a not for profit 501(C )(3) tax exempt organization in the United States. The Mission of the Foundation is to discover, develop, demonstrate and disseminate natural solutions to the problems facing us and threatening our health and freedom, achieving and maintaining a healthy self, community and world. Since its founding the Natural Solutions Foundation has pursued a vigorous program on many fronts, including natural solutions to significant social problems involving health and wellness. The threats to health and freedom are both domestic and international, as are the solutions.

Among the innovative solutions we are pursing are the International Decade of Nutrition Program (IDN) and an alliance among Health Conscious Nations expressed through international cooperation at Codex (the World Food Code).

The IDN includes the creation of demonstration BeyondOrganic BioDynamic Zero Emissions (BO-DY-ZE), ecologically sound communities and schools for farmers to share high impact, low technology natural solutions to permit economically and environmentally sustainable, chemical free farming.. Among these, we consider Fr. Godfrey's UN recognized Songhai Community in Benin to be an outstanding example and we have formed a strategic alliance with that Community, sponsoring BioDynamic methods testing there. The Foundation is establishish an Eco Community in Central America, the Valley of the Moon Green Community Demonstration Project in the Chiriqui Highlands, Panama. In addition to our Panama and Benin projects, the Foundation is also working with progressive farmers in countries such as Costa Rica.

In Panama the Foundation is a Private Interest Foundation authorized by the Escritura establishing it to conduct businesses that further its purposes and to issue Beneficial Interest Certificates. The Trustees have therefore determined to initially establish two Demonstration Projects in Panama and Costa Rica: The Valley of the Moon Green Community and the International BO-DY-ZE Farmer’s Land Trust. Both projects are structured around the concepts of the Beneficial Interest Certificates (BICs) and Land Trust. By holding the land in trust, it can be effectively protected and efficiently managed to meet the BO-DY-ZE standard. The BICs are the legal instrument that provides for the rights of the participants.

There are two classes of BICs. Each participates in the overall benefits of the Foundation.

First are the Founders BICs, which relate to the Valley of the Moon project and carry with them four rights: (1) to participate in community governance; (2) to receive accumulating, simple interest at least at the Prime Rate of Banco National; (3) to a 99 year perpetually renewable leasehold for a building site in the Valley of the Moon when available and (4) to “most favored customer” treatment for the Foundation’s businesses in the Valley. Invited Participants have contributed time, expertise, effort and funds to the project.

The second category is the Farmers BICs. Farmers have contributed Land to be held in Trust to the BO-DY-ZE Farm Land Trust. These BICs entitle the participants to four rights: (1) to participate in Farm Land Trust governance, (2) to receive agreed remuneration for producing products that meet the BO-DY-ZE standards on Farm Trust Land, (3) to withdraw their land from the Farm Land Trust (in return for the BICs and a payment to compensate the Foundation for its development efforts on that land and (4) participation in the Farmers Forum whereby the most advanced BO-DY-ZE methods will be explored, tested and implemented.

Participants in the Green Community and Customers of the BO-DY-ZE products will both be assured of the highest quality and standards by the Foundation’s attention to the details needed to create truly Green alternatives for discerning people.

The following letter has been submitted to a major Panamanian foundation for consideration:

December 31, 2008

Named in honor of the Noble-Bugle People's original name for Chiriqui, The Valley of the Moon(TM) Project (VotM) is an activity of the Natural Solutions Foundation's International Decade of Nutrition. The purpose of VotM is to serve as an educational and practical resource for the people of Panama, extending its influence through its relationship to the Natural Solutions Foundation and other appropriate resources to other areas of the world as well. Our mission is to introduce simple, inexpensive and highly effective means of increasing the quality and nutritional value of foods, eliminate hazardous chemicals and technologies from the food supply to protect the workers, the consumers and the environment, sharing natural health maintaining techniques related to food and nutrition, and increase the knowledge base of farmers and non-farmers alike so that they can maintain, sustain and regain healthy immune and other functions. This will increase health status, reduce time and money spent in illness and benefit both the individual and his society in an expanding ripple effect based on the impact of widespread, profound health in the community. it is the contention of the International Decade of Nutriton that the preventable, non-communicable diseases of under nutrition (as defined by the World Health Organization and Food and Agricultural Organization, 2003, Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke, Diabetes and Obesity) as well as the consequences of agricultural chemical toxicity (Cancer, Birth Defects, Arthritis, Rashes and other Skin Diseases, Auto Immune Disorders, Sterility, Infertility, etc.) can be eliminated through education and resource sharing.

In keeping with this goal, we already have two agricultural projects in West Africa designed to employ one of our simple, intuitive and non-energy requiring technologies to eliminate the use of dangerous, expensive and environmentally hazardous chemicals to significantly:
1. Increase crop yield
2. Increase crop size
3. Increase nutrient density
4. Increase storage life of crops.

Here in Panama, instead of individual, isolated applications of technology and information flow, VotM will serve as an integrated program providing information, resources, support and development for the community. Our program will include:

1. A BeyondOrganic BioDynamic Zero Emissions(TM) farm producing high quality, chemical free herbs, agricultural produce and protein in an integrated system which produces no waste and uses every aspect of the production in another part of the cycle. The initial farm under contract for purchase already produces a substantial amount of food in its 5 commercial greenhouses, animal quarters and open fields. Our mentor in this type of farming, Father Godfrey Nzamaju, is the initiator and founder of the Songhai Foundation in Africa, a United Nations Center of Excellence in this type of project. He will be directly involved in setting up and managing the Zero Emissions farming. Zero Emissions farming techniques are net producers of methane so reliance on petroleum is either sharply reduced or totally eliminated.

2. A BeyondOrganic BioDynamic Zero Emissions(TM) farm school where farmers, gardeners and other can come for residential or non-residential classes to learn the techniques of farming without chemicals, increasing crop yield, increasing animal production without degrading either the environment or the animals produced, humane slaughter, etc.

3. Classes in distribution, marketing, co-op techniques to bring products to market in a more efficient and effective way

4. Classes in the safe and environmentally friendly manufacture of energy sources from the operation of the farm to reduce the cost of farming and lighten the impact of both farming and transportation on the environment.

5. Training in the use of the advanced, safe and intuitive technologies which farmers can use to increase the quality of their food, reduce the footprint of their activities on the environment, reclaim the soil and water now contaminated by chemical and nitrogen agricultural run-off and similar applications

6. A Health Center for Latino and Indigenous people using natural health methods to increase their autonomous health effectiveness, decrease the cost associated with illness and disseminate important information on maintaining, creating and regaining health in these communities. "Health Ambassadors" will be selected from the communities being served who will serve as dissemination agents to bring out clean drinking water technology use, preventive health information, etc. These Health Ambassadors will be members of these communities in order to introduce techniques and technologies into the communities without distorting or violating cultural norms and systems.

7. Intensive Agriculture classes and class rooms for non-farmers so that every person or family can, with minimal effort and virtually no expense, grow basic vegetables year-round for themselves and their families. Using a plot of ground, or pots of earth 1.25 m x 1.25 m it is possible to provide enough clean, unadulterated, chemical free food for a family of 4 for a year at virtually no expense. Larger families will require correspondingly larger plots or pots. This technique alone can improve the health status of the Panamanian people, reduce medical costs and open self-supporting options to anyone willing to commit a small amount of space (under a grow light in an apartment, if necessary) and a very small amount of effort to this activity. School children will be taught how to carry out this satisfying and useful task and classes for mothers and others are being planned now.

8. A Seminar and Education Center with a small hotel facility is being planned so that intensive classes can be offered in a variety of areas consistent with the over-all purpose of the VotM project.

9. A Performance Art and Movement Center will be constructed to allow classes and performances in dance, yoga, music and other community and personally enriching activities.

Two pieces of land, one with two houses and sufficient room for the Seminar, and Performance and Centers, the other with a building suitable for the Farm School, 5 commercial greenhouses and open fields have been identified. Because of the location of these properties, another building, on the main road of Volcan or near it, will be appropriate for the Health Center.

I hope this gives a useful overview of our thinking in planning the VotM project. I look forward to hearing how we can work with the you to bring these options and opportunities to the people of Panama.

Yours in health and freedom,
Major General Albert N. Stubblebine III (U.S. Army, Ret.)
